Name: Angela Shaw
My mum. My inspiration. She is the best mum in the world. She is in charge of driving us to competitions/ training, she is the groom whilst we are away, the chef, making sure I get a healthy diet to give me the energy to ride and remember all my tests. She is the drive for pushing myself through my hard days. She is also my eyes from the ground. I owe my mum a lot.

My grandad. He owns the horses, pays for their needs eg: feed, bed, farrier. He runs the wagon. He is out everyday to make sure everything runs smoothly with the day to day routines. He is my No1 supporter.

Name: Dianne Darville ( Glow North Yorkshire)
Dianne helps me every week, keeping me on my diet plan and giving me a good work out to keep fit and works on my core muscles to keep my strength where it is needed most. Dianne also helps keep my mind on track and active.

Vicky works on both me and my horses, making sure our muscles are always relaxed so we can work to our full potential. Vicky also uses the bowen to relieve pain that my RSD causes. I can always feel a difference after a session. I feel alive again.

Hugh and his team of farriers are always on hand when needed. They are very knowledgable on how the foot should be able to move and be supported by the shoe for the horses job

Stirk and Associates was founded in 1980 by brother’s Simon and Anthony Stirk and has now been part of the Minster Vet Group since early 2011. The practice is based in Galphay, just outside Ripon and continues to provide the Ripon, Middleham and Harrogate areas with the high standard of care that our clients have come to expect over the years. Stirks are now associated with Minster Vets.
